Abstract:
To provide a hard alloy having high toughness, excellent hardness and strength, and also to provide its manufacturing method.
The high-toughness hard alloy has a hard phase containing at least one selected from WC, TiC, TiN and TiCN and a binding phase containing iron-group metal. A binding-phase structure having a shape of >20 to 100 aspect ratio is contained in the cross section of the structure of this alloy. Such a binding-phase structure can be obtained by using raw-material powder of large aspect ratio prepared by means of electroplating.
