PURPOSE: To realize a high voltage pulse transformer having a small size and a high efficiency by forming a primary winding of a plurality of divided windings in parallel, while performing single-layer winding on a first coil bobbin.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical first coil bobbin 2 wound with a primary winding n1 is externally inserted to a columnar core 1. A cylindrical second coil bobbin 3 wound with a secondary winding n2 is externally inserted to the bobbin 2. The windings n1 and n2 are respectively formed of single-layer windings, and number of turns is set to a predetermined value as a high voltage pulse transformer. The winding n1 is formed by connecting two divided windings n11, n12 having a relatively small wire diameter in parallel, and wound on the bobbin 2. Thus, a coupling efficiency of the primary and secondary windings is enhanced, and a ratio of a primary voltage to a secondary voltage can be approached to a turn ratio of the primary to secondary windings.
