PURPOSE: To improve the heat resistance and oil resistance and enhance the connection strength with respect to the fixing of terminal fittings by covering a linear resistance conductive core with an insulator, and further covering it with a resilient outer fitting material in which a specified amount of silicon rubber is blended in fluorine rubber.
CONSTITUTION: A high voltage resistant electric wire 1 is formed such that a resistance conductor core 2 is covered with an insulator 3 and an insulator layered member in which glass fiber or polyester fiber is braided, and the surface is further covered with a resilient material 5. As the material 5 such one as being obtained by mixing 100 parts by weight of fluorine rubber with 5 to 100 parts by weight of silicone rubber. At an end of the wire 1, a terminal metal fitting 6 is fitted, which fitting 6 is connected to a spark plug terminal or distributer terminal. A locking claw 7 formed integrally with the metal fitting 6 is fixed to the wire in a penetration manner, and the electric connection between the mental fitting 6 and the core 2 by means of a U-shaped connection pin 8 is performed.
