To provide a black electrodeposition coating composition capable of forming an undercoat which has a sufficient sense of beauty and weatherability as a coated surface even without topcoating while retaining corrosion resistance similar to that of a conventional one.
A black electrodeposition coating composition comprising a binder component and a pigment component dispersed in an aqueous medium containing a neutralizing agent and a pigment component, wherein the binder component is constituted of (a) 5-35 wt.% amino group-containing epoxy resin; (b) 30-65 wt.% amino group-containing acrylic resin; and (c) 20-30 wt.% aliphatic block polyisocyanate (provided that the sum of component (a) to component (c) is 100 wt.%), and the pigment component is carbon black having a particle diameter of not greater than 15 nm and its amount as the coating PVC is 1-7%.
