PURPOSE: To provide a higher harmonic cursor circuit in which a higher harmonic cursor can be displayed while being superposed accurately on frequency analysis results by allowing the frequency of higher harmonics for a signal subjected to frequency analysis to be easily and accurately obtained.

CONSTITUTION: The higher harmonic cursor circuit comprises a circuit 7 for calculating the highest frequency of a higher harmonic cursor in current frequency analysis results and the highest harmonic of the higher harmonic cursor using the highest frequency of higher harmonic cursor and the highest harmonic in a previous frequency analysis results, and a circuit 8 for sequentially obtaining the frequency of each higher harmonic cursor basing on the frequency of a higher harmonic cursor having a highest frequency determined by the highest frequency calculating circuit 7 and a highest harmonic of the higher harmonic cursor. In order to present values calculated thereby on a display 6, coordinate values corresponding to the screen of the display 6 are obtained and synthesized with frequency analysis results, thus presenting the frequency analysis results and the higher harmonic cursor, while superposing, on the display 6.
