Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a compounded product which comprises specified proportions of carbohydrate protein, fat and fiber in which at least a specified amt. of the protein source is composed of a whey protein concentrated liquid, which shows a specified acid pH range, which prevents browning and has juice-like concn. and excellent flavor without decrease in taste and which is effective for health. CONSTITUTION: In this liquid oral nutrition compound, 40 to 90% of the whole calorie of the compd. is produced from carbohydrate such as sucrose, 2 to 30% calorie from protein, 0 to 35% calorie from lipid such as sunflower oil, and 0 to 17% calorie from fiber such as guar gum. At least 60wt.% of the protein source consists of a whey protein concentrated liquid, and pH of the compd. of the purpose is controlled to 3.5 to 3.9.
