To obtain the subject repairing material excellent in conductivity, high temperature resistance and erosion resistance by hot-coating the surfaces of prescribed ceramic refractory granules containing scaly graphite and/or artificial graphite with scaly graphite or artificial graphite in specific states.
This repairing material is obtained by hot-coating the surfaces of the 0.01-15mm diameter granules of crushed products of a ceramic refractory containing 0.2-40wt.% of scaly graphite and/or artificial graphite and further containing one or more kinds of 20-99.5wt.% of MgO, 30-99.5wt.% of Al2O3 and 20-99.5wt.% of CaO with a coating material comprising 0.1-250μm diameter scaly graphite fine pieces or artificial graphite particles in an amount of 0.2-30wt.% based on the material to be coated, and a thermosetting phenolic resin or cellulosic adhesive in an amount of 0.1-7wt.% based on the material to be coated. The conductivity of the repairing material is consequently not lowered, even when the surfaces of the granules are eroded.
