Title:
HIGHLY HYDROPHILIC COATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3141703
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject coating having an extremely good hydrophilicity- persisting property, good in adhesivity and corrosion resistance, prolonging the lives of molds, and useful for aluminum fins for heat-exchanging machines, etc., by adding an alumina sol of specific amorphous gel state.
CONSTITUTION: This coating contains (B) alumina sol agglomerates (preferably having an average particle diameter of 0.5-20μm) agglomerated by adding a basic compound (e.g. ammonia) to an alumina sol, and (C) a water-soluble resin or a water-dispersible resin. The component A preferably has a fuzzy, bar-like or tree branch-like shape or form, and the contents of the components B and C are preferably e.g. 0.1-50 pts.wt. and 50-99.9 pts.wt., respectively, per 100 pts.wt. of the total solid content of the coating.
