Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup, having a high true absorbency for sebum by single use and further capable of providing characteristics of a high transparency after use thereof and provide a method for producing the paper.
SOLUTION: This sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. Manila hemp (30° SR beating degree) with 20 pts.wt. microtalc (having 1.7μm average particle diameter and 16.0 BET m2/g surface area), providing a homogeneous dispersion, fixing the resultant dispersion to fibers with a fixing agent and then forming the sheet of paper with a cylinder paper machine. A wire cloth having 0.2mm wire diameter and 16 mesh size is used as the wire cloth of the cylinder paper machine and an uneven layer is formed at 22g/m2 basis weight with one vat. The resultant web is subsequently treated with a super calender to provide 1.0g/cm3 density. Thereby, the sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup is prepared.
