To provide a hinge cap with a tamper evident mechanism in which a tamper-evident mechanism is separably and integrally provided, the cap being configured so as to prevent the tamper-evident mechanism from projecting from the periphery of the cap.

The hinge cap including a cap base attached to a container body, and an upper lid connected to the cap base by a hinge so as to be opened/closed, includes the tamper-evident mechanism consisting of a sealing portion located opposite the hinge and integrally and separably provided in a base-side recess formed in part of the periphery of the cap base, and a locking portion provided at the upper lid so as to be able to engage with the sealing portion. When the cap is not opened, the sealing portion engages with the locking portion and remains closed until it is separated from the cap base. In addition, the sealing portion is held in the base-side recess and an upper-lid-side recess, formed in part of the periphery of the upper lid adjacent to the base-side recess, so as not to project from the periphery.
