To provide an epoch-making hinge device and an electronic device using the hinge device, based on an absolutely new idea that the strength of members is improved by the hinge device itself or the attaching structure itself of the hinge device.

The hinge device pivots a first member 1 and a second member 2. In the end part of an attaching member 3, (4) functioning as a reinforcing member attached to the first member 1 or the second member 2, one superposed plate part 5, (6) is provided. In the attaching member 4, (3) attached to the second member 2 or the first member 1, the other superposed plate part 6, (5) is provided so that both the superposed plate parts 5 and 6 are superposed one upon another. An attaching hole 7 is provided on at least one of the superposed plate parts 5, (6). An attaching shaft part 8 freely rotating together with the other superposed plate part 6, (5) is engaged with the attaching hole 7 so as to freely rotate, so that the superposed plate parts 5 and 6 are journaled. The first member 1 and the second member 2 are pivoted through at least one of the attaching members 3 and 4 functioning as the reinforcing member.
