PURPOSE: To reduce the operational space and the interference with a car body in hinge devices of an engine-hood, a trunk lid, and others by inserting brackets on the sides of the hood and the lid as sliding into those on the side of the car body with the same curvature.

CONSTITUTION: A hinge bracket 20 is constructed of an opening and closing body side bracket 21 and a car body side bracket 22 provided with channel-type sections and the arc of the same curvature, and two brackets 21, 22 are fitted to be relatively slided. To apply this hinge bracket 20, for example, the car body side bracket 22 near the opening and closing edge 4 of a trunk room 2 and the opening and a fixing part 21a of the opening and closing body side bracket 21 on the rear side of the front edge of a trunk lid 3 are respectively fixed, and the opening and closing body bracket 21 is inserted into the car body side bracket 22 to be smoothly slided. In this construction, since these hinge brackets are free from swinging for opening and closing, their operational space can be reduced, and the interference can be prevented between the car body and the opening and closing edge.
