Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide hinges for fixtures and a folding table using the hinges, which enable a movable top board supporting leg to turn smoothly without damaging the surface of the floor, when the table is put on an uneven floor covered with a carpet or the like.
CONSTITUTION: This hinge 1 for fixtures has such a mechanism that pipe-like parts 4a, 4b of upper and lower butterfly plates 2a, 2b are engaged by approximately half cylindrical claws 5a, 5b having spiral inclined planes 6a, 6b, and while turning one of the upper and lower butterfly plates 2a, 2b against the force of a force supply member 9 in a given direction, the butterfly plate can be moved up or down along a connecting shaft 7. The folding table 10 has such a mechanism that, to a table main body 11, a movable top board supporting leg 16 is attached by the hinges 1 for fixtures, and the movable top board supporting leg 16 can be moved up or down while being turned in a given direction. Consequently, even when put on an uneven floor 25, the supporting leg 16 can be turned smoothly without damaging the surface of the floor 25.
