To impart functions of regulating the rotation of a hinge member and of preventing over-lifting to a hinge with a thermoelement.
The hinge 10 with the thermoelement comprises a pair of hinge members 11, 12 relatively rotatably journaled to a spindle 13, a spring means 14 urging one of the hinge members so as to rotate relatively to the other in one direction, and a thermoelement 20 having a piston 22 which rotates one of the hinge members against the urging force of the spring means by the back/forth movement caused by thermal expansion and thermal contraction of a thermal expansion body 21 accompanied by temperature change. The hinge members includes a spindle inserting cylindrical parts 16, 17 arranged on the spindle. At facing ends of these cylindrical parts, a rotation regulating means 18 is provided which is locked while allowing relative rotation displacement. The thermoelement 20 is held on one of the hinge elements to be movable in a direction of movement of the piston, and is elastically supported by an elastic means 30.
