Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the space to dispose oscillating arms during closure, in an arrangement using a two-pivot, oscillating arm type hinge and having a pair of covers opened and closed in such a way that the opposite end edges of the covers are supported for oscillation.
SOLUTION: When first and second oscillating members 8 and 9 are mounted via first and second mounting bodies 15 and 16 journaled using parallel first and second pivots 11 as pivots for oscillation, the first and second mounting bodies 15 and 16 are disposed alternately in the axial directions of the pivots so as not to interfere with each other. The first mounting body 15 is formed to protrude toward the second pivot 12 to describe a track of oscillation which circles the outside of the second pivot 12. The second mounting body 16 is formed to protrude toward the first pivot 13 to describe a track of oscillation which circles the outside of the first pivot 13. During closure, the first and second mounting bodies 15 and 16 are arranged to overlap on side view.
