To provide a history information retrieving method for efficiently retrieving history information, and for displaying the information to allow a retriever to easily analyze the information, as well as to provide a history information retrieving device for executing this method with a view to using the history information in the manufacturing process of a product for quality management.

When a specific first retrieval condition is inputted, first solid information pertinent to the specific first retrieval condition is selected from a data base by an individual information selecting part 11. The first retrieval condition and the first solid information are stored as a second retrieval condition, and when history information related with the first solid information is retrieved, a new third retrieval condition such as a processing process is inputted, and a fourth retrieval condition obtained by combining the second retrieval condition with the third retrieval condition is generated by a retrieval controlling part 12. Of the above selecting part 11 and the controlling part 12, this information retrieving device is composed. Also, the efficient history information retrieving method can be attained by this history information retrieving device.
