To provide a hitting ball grounding position detection film which detects a grounding location of a hitting ball certainly to judge in/out, wherein the installation cost is inexpensive, and to provide a coating liquid for forming the detection film.
The hitting ball grounding position detection film is laid on a surface in a necessary area adjacent to a line on the surface of a court for a ball game, and detects the grounding position of the hitting to judge in/out. In this case the detection film is a coloring film, and is a thermochromic film which thermally colors by contact with the hitting ball so as to discriminate the coloring film as a background color. A coating liquid for forming the detection film contains a color coupler composed of a leuco dye, a developer, a coloring agent and a binder.
