To provide a hoisting device of equipment for an elevator capable of hoisting the equipment 15 for the elevator up to a predetermined part including a part in close vicinity of the hoistway ceiling 2 or the ceiling in a machine room without reqiuring a suspension margin; and a hoisting method of the equipment for the elevator using this hoisting device.

A pushing-up means 24 is rockingly installed and suspended in an elevator shaft 1 or the machine room. After locking a rope 19 on the equipment 15 for the elevator by suspending the rope in the vicinity of the push-up means 24 by delivering the rope 19 from a hoisting machine 18 wound with the rope 19, the equipment 15 is hoisted and held up to a side part of the push-up means 24 by winding the rope 19 by the hoising machine 18. The hoisted equipment 15 is scooped up and further pushed up to an upper position by rocking the push-up means 24.
