To provide a connecting chute for surely maintaining connection between a carrying path and a hold opening and moreover having simple structure.
This chute is equipped with a second elastic chute 1B having an end connection to the hold opening 8a of a ship on the lower end continuing with the lower end flange 11 of a first chute 1A connected to a carrying path at the upper end, an elevating mechanism 15 for making the chute 1B elastic by elevating the flange 11 of the chute 1A, and also a sensor mechanism 22 for detecting the extended quantity of the chute 1B. When the extended quantity of the chute 1B becomes an upper limit value, an upper limit signal is sent so as to prolong the chute 1A, and when the extended quantity of the chute 1B becomes a lower limit value, a lower limit signal is sent so as to contract the chute 1A. When the control circuit of the mechanism 15 is connected to the mechanism 22 and receives the upper limit signal, the mechanism 15 is driven to prolong the chute 1A, and when the lower limit signal is received, the mechanism 15 is driven to contract the chute 1A.
