To provide a holder for lenses which can hold lenses in a stable state, without applying external force to the lenses at surface treatment, and prevents deformation and cracks in the lenses.

The holding tool 1 for lenses includes a holder body 2 for lenses; and a pair of right-and-left lens racks 4, respectively holding the lens 3. Each lens rack 4 includes a first support plate 31 suitable for a base 30; and a second support plate 32 of a right-and-left pair, and is suitable for the holder body 2. The first support plate 31 is fitted relatively movably at the front and behind with respect to the base 30, and the surface forms a lens supporting face 38 supporting the outer circumferential edge 3d on the concave side in the lens 3. The second support plate 32 vertically crosses the first support plate 31, and in which the rear-end face is tilted downward and forms a lens support face 41 supporting the outer circumferential edge 3e on the convex side of the lens 3.
