PURPOSE: To obtain a holder adapted to press a lens invariably by a fixed pressing force, by providing a moving means for holding and transferring a lens holding support, a DC motor for driving it and the like.
CONSTITUTION: When a lens to be inspected is placed on a lens table 532, with the rotation of an arm driving motor 522, hands 530 and 531 moves so as to narrow the interval therebetween with a crossing construction of arms 526 and 527 thereby grasping the edge of lens. Then, as a motor of a lens holding section runs, a lens holding table lowers. Consequently, with the simultaneously lowering of a print point section and a lens holding ring, a lens holding pin abuts on a lens. Under such a condition, as a Z-axis feed motor runs, Z-axis table 501 lowers. Thus, the lens comes down as grasped between hands 530 and 531 with the back thereof abutting on three lens holding pins 542 and the lens table 532 further lowers while the lens is held on the lens holding pins 542.
