Title:
HOLDER FOR LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02129972
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize miniaturization by integrally forming a fixing resilient leg on the outlet side of a lead and a flange on the holding side of a body section, respectively, and providing a progressively extending taper on the outer side surface of the resilient leg over the edge of a mounting hole when it is mounted. CONSTITUTION:Once a resilient flag 4 is inserted into a mount hole 8 until the abutment surface of a flange 5 strikes a mounting reference surface 7a of a mount plate 7 by contracting the resilient leg 4 strikes the edge of the mounting hole 8 to permit elastically spreading force to be manifested. The elastically spreading force serves as a force for biassing the holder to the mounting plate 7 in the direction of the insertion, whereby the abutment surface of a flange 5 pushes a mounting refractive surface 7a of the mounting plate 7 for holding the mounting plate between the elastic force and the flange 5. Therefore, the flange 5 is positioned on the side where a body section 1 is housed, and hence no constituent component, which requires some space such as the flange 5 and the like, on the opposite surface of the reference surface 7a of the mounting plate 7. Thus, the total length is reduced. Hereby, miniaturization is realized.
