Abstract:
PURPOSE: To display both of valency and molecular weight distribution other than the mass spectrum of multivalent ions through a screen and also easily increase the accuracy of making the spectrum of molecular weight distribution in a display device from which the spectrum of the mass of multivalnt ions is obtained.
CONSTITUTION: The spectrum of the mass of multivalent ions is obtained by using an ion source 1, a mass spectrometry part 2, an ion detecting part 3, a control part 4, a collection part 5 and the like. When a measuring person designates two multivalent ion peaks which differ in the number of valency by one with each other among multivalent ion peaks emerging in the mass spectrum the foregoing multivalent ions, the valency of ions and the molecular weight of a sample for the designated multivalent ion peaks are calculated on the basis of m/z (ratio of mass to electric charge) for the =m1 and m2 designated multivalent ions and also the number of mass ma for the kind of added ions by a CPU 6, and further the spectrum of distribution of molecular weight is prepared according to a predetermined functional equation and then displayed by a display part 7.
