To provide a holder for a page of a book capable of surely and stably opening the page without giving marks and damaging even when the book is thick, or there exists a difference in the thickness on the pages.

The holder is formed by a pair of front and back operating parts 2 and a pair of front and back pressing parts 4a and 4b. A front side pressing part 4a for pressing spread pages 5a of the book 5 is formed into a pair of left and right leg piece-like shapes for ranging over a binding part 5b and pressing down each of the pages 5a. A back side pressing part 4b for ranging over the back cover of the book 5 and pressing the back side 5c is formed into a pair of left and right leg piece-like shapes. A formed distance D1 in the left and right direction of the front side pressing part 4a is selected larger than the formed distance D2 in the left and right direction of the back side pressing part 4b, and the back side pressing part 4b is positioned within the formed distance D1 of the front side pressing part 4a.
