To provide the holder for the portable electronic device consisting of a mountable housing, a latch mechanism and an electric connector.
A housing 102 mounted to a portable electronic device has a 1st terminal 151 and a 2nd terminal 153. A latch mechanism 104 is placed movably to the 1st terminal 151. The latch mechanism 104 includes a bias member to exert a force in a direction of the 2nd terminal 153. An electric connector 101 is placed to the 2nd terminal 153 to provide electric contacts facing the 1st terminal 151. When the portable electronic device is properly inserted in a holder 100, the latch mechanism 104 engages with a slot, the portable electronic device is fixed in the holder 100 to establish and maintain the electric connection of the electric connector 101.
