Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and price for a step-in binding system used in soft type snowboard boots.
SOLUTION: A pair of pillars P are elongated plates having an L-shaped cross section, and respectively have a base surface and a raised surface with a corner interposed between them. The respective pillars P are arranged side by side with the base surfaces disposed on the same plane, with the base surfaces inside and with the raised surfaces outside. A toe plate 2 is fixed to the front parts of the base surfaces of the paired pillars P. A heel plate 3 is fixed to the rear part of the base surfaces of the paired pillars P. A heel cup H is provided on the rear parts of the paired pillars P. A spoiler S is provided on the heel cup H. A front belt B1 is provided on the front part of the pillar P or the toe plate 2. A rear belt B2 is provided on the heel cup H, the rear parts of the paired pillars P or the heel plate 3.
