To provide a holding device for a cleaning implement, which is capable of surely positioning a cleaning implement at a desired position.
The holding device 10 includes a holding part 11 for holding the cleaning implement, a grip part 20 provided continuously to the holding part 11, and a rotary holding part 30 for holding the holding part 11 so as to be rotated around a rotary shaft 13 relative to the grip part 20. The rotary holding part 30 includes a first holding member 31 provided continuously to the holding part 11, a second holding member 36 provided continuously to the grip part 20, and an operation member 50 for holding the first holding member 31 and the second holding member 36 rotatably around the rotary shaft 13 and stopping them at an optional rotating position. The first holding member 31 and the second holding member 36 have surfaces to be engaged with each other in a direction crossing the rotary shaft 13, and the surfaces which can be engaged with each other, provided on the first holding member 31 and the second holding member 36, are separated and contacted by operating the operation member 50.
