PURPOSE: To securely hold a band-like member continuously by first sucking and winding up the end part of the band-like member with a roller which is rotatably supported by a frame and which has adsorbing parts on its outer peripheral part and, then, interposingly holding the band-like member with an interposingly holding body and the roller.

CONSTITUTION: A frame 1 is formed with a horizontal beam 2 and plates 3 fixed to both ends of the frame 2. An adsorbing roller 5 which is parallel to the horizontal beam 2 is rotatably provided under the horizontal beam 2, and a vacuum passage 6 is provided in its center while plural adsorbing parts 7 which are outwardly opened in the radial direction are arranged in a line. The roller 5 is rotated by reducing 13 the rotation of a motor 12, and via gears 17, 20 and 21. The end part of a band-like member 44 which is sent in perpendicularly to a paper face is wound up by the adsorbing roller 5 and, then, interposedly held by an interposingly holding member 36 (35). The interposingly holding member 36, (35) presses interposingly holding bodies 42, 43 against the adsorbing roller 5 by the action of a plunger 37 perpendicular to the paper face with pins 33, 34 as the axis, to interposingly hold the band-like member 44. Thereby, even a narrow band-like body can be securely held in a defined position.
