Abstract:
To provide a holding mechanism and a printer, which can suitably maintain printing quality.SOLUTION: Each of holding mechanisms (30, 40) includes: a first rotation member (33) which regulates an operation for holding and opening an opening/closing member (12) by rotating in a holding direction when the opening/closing member is closed and releases the holding by rotation in a holding release direction opposite to the holding direction; a second rotation member (34) which regulates rotation in the holding release direction by rotating in a fitting direction and fitting into the first rotation member when the opening/closing member is closed and releases the fitting by rotation in the fitting release direction opposite to the fitting direction; and fitting maintaining means (33f, 34f) which do not rotate the second rotation member in the fitting release direction when force for rotating the first rotation member in the holding release direction is applied from the opening/closing member in a holding state that the opening/closing member is closed and holding is performed by the first rotation member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
