Title:
HEADLAMP DEVICE FOR MOTOR BICYCLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3176395
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and facilitate the adjustment of reflecting direction by forming a pair of reflectors integrally and supporting them on a case so that their reflecting direction can be adjusted simultaneously, in a headlamp device in which a pair of bulbs and a pair of reflectors are provided in parallel with each other.
CONSTITUTION: Reflectors 27 and 29 are formed integrally by synthetic resin, and a metal is deposited on their surfaces to form a reflecting surface. Then Nos. 1 and 2 lamps 20 and 21 are formed by bulbs 26 and 28, respectively. The center lower portions of both reflectors 27 and 29 in parallel with each other are supported through a supporting mechanism 30 on a case 22, and a vertical and lateral adjustment mechanisms 31 and 32 are provided between the reflectors and the case 22. In this case, both adjustment mechanisms 31 and 32 are positioned at each vertical angle of a virtual right triangle 33 with the supporting mechanism 30 as its right angle portion. The vertical adjustment mechanism 31 adjusts the reflectors 27 and 29 simultaneously by means of a connecting plate 40 by operating an adjustment screw 38. Also the lateral adjustment mechanism 32 moves in forward and backward directions on one side lower portion of the reflectors 27 and 29 by an adjustment screw 42.
