Abstract:

To surely hold a spectacle lens, to provide an excellent appearance, to reduce weight, and to secure a wide visual field, etc., in the rimless spectacles of an edge surface fitting and holding type.

A notched part 30 having a projection 31 is formed at the edge part Po of the spectacle lens 21, a lens holding part 24B having the inverted shape is fitted and the lens 21 is held. The projection 31 comprises a U-shaped curve whose height is equal to or shorter than the minimum groove width of a groove part 32C between the projections and equal to or shorter than the half of the groove length, and a tangent at the end edge is inclined to the projection side. The groove width of the notched part 30 is equal to or shorter than the half of the groove length of the notched part, and the groove length of the groove part 32C between the projections is shorter than the groove length of a front groove part 32A and is also longer than the groove length of a rear groove part 32B. For the lens holding part 24B, the front-back width of a front fitting part 33A is equal to or longer than the sum of the front-back width of an inter-projection fitting part 33C and the front-back width of a rear fitting part 33B.
