Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a method for easily drilling holes with a gun drill without causing any chip packing.
CONSTITUTION: A gun drill 2 chip 2b is rotated as pressing it against a workpiece 10 in the state of a guide bush 9 abutting on the workpiece 10 and, when the gun drill 2 chip 2b bites into the workpiece 10, chips generated in the course of hole drilling are discharged through an opening of the hole without getting them clogged by separating the workpiece 10 from the guide bush 9 and carry out hole drilling in the workpiece 10 under this state.
