Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a hole formation method by which falling of scraps into a fuel tank is prevented.SOLUTION: A hole formation method for a fuel tank comprises: a process in which a screw groove 5a is formed in an outer wall of a fuel tank 5; a process in which a thread part 2a, which is formed at a tip of a rotary shaft 2 in a hole formation device 1, is engaged with the screw groove 5a; a process in which the rotary shaft 2 is rotated in the state that the thread part 2a is engaged with the screw groove 5a, and a hole 5b is formed in the fuel tank 5 by a cutting blade 4 provided on the rotary shaft 2; and a process in which a cut piece 5c of the fuel tank 5, which is cut by the cutting blade 4, is recovered while being held by the hole formation device 1 in the state that the thread part 2a is engaged with the screw groove 5a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
