Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily measure the position of a nozzle hole for jetting liquid drops with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a CCD camera 12 which picks up the image of an ink drop 5 (nozzle hole) lit up by illumination lights 11 while jetted out of the nozzle hole of a printer head, an image processor which specifies the position of video (dark part 5a and shadow 5b) of the ink drop 5 in the image picked up in timing which is not distant from the nozzle hole from the start of the jetting operation, and an arithmetic unit which calculates the position of the nozzle hole according to the position coordinates of the video of the ink drop 5. In this case, the illumination lights 11 and CCD camera 12 are set opposite the nozzle surface at an elevation angle of 10 deg. so as to pick images of the ink drop 5 in the same timing from two X-axial and Y-axial directions.
