Abstract:

To provide a thin film layer used for an organic electroluminescent element and the like, and to provide the organic electroluminescent element with high light emitting efficiency and high quality of which, a polymeric hole transport material with large area can be easily manufactured.

The hole transport material contains a polymer formed by polymerizing or copolymerizing not less than one kind of acetylene group monomer having carbazole group and/or carbazole derivative group with hole transporting function. It is preferable that distribution ratio of the acetylene group monomer having carbazole group and/or carbazole derivative group to the total monomer constructing the polymer is not less than 50 mol%, and that the molecular weight of the polymer ranges from 500 to 1,000. The organic electroluminescent element has not less than one layer of organic thin film having the light emitting layer as a minimum between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and the light emitting layer and/or the organic thin film contacting with the light emitting layer includes the hole transport material.
