PURPOSE: To improve the service life of a die by decreasing a bending moment and shearing force by inclining each bridge of a male die of the die in a fan- shape toward the front in the extruding direction.
CONSTITUTION: A mandrel supporting member 6 of a male die 2 is inserted into an outer cylindrical member 4 and raper-fitted. A mandrel member 5 is inserted into a shaft hole 6c of the mandrel supporting member 6, and a stepped part 5b is allowed to abut on the top face 6b of the mandrel supporting member 6. A hollow die is assembled by fitting a female die 1 to the front end part of this male die 2. By the male die 2 of this constitution, a bridge 8 can be inclined in a fan-shape by a necessary amount. When the extrusion is executed by using this die, the bridge 8 receives a load by an extrusion stock from the oblique direction in the course of extrusion, and a load by a bending moment and shearing force which become main factors for shortening the service life of the bridge 8 is reduced.
