Abstract:
To provide a hollow fiber membrane module capable of suppressing the breakage of a hollow fiber membrane.SOLUTION: A hollow fiber membrane module that comprises a bundle of hollow fiber membranes composed of a plurality of bundled hollow fiber membranes, a cylindrical housing, a first adhesive fixing part, and a second adhesive fixing part, wherein the ratio (a/b) of (a) the total area of the outer diameter cross-section of the hollow fiber membranes to (b) the area of inner diameter cross-section of the housing is 32-48% with regard to a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the housing and wherein the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the ratio of the total area of an outer diameter cross section of the hollow fiber membrane existing in a 1/4 outer peripheral portion to the area of the 1/4 outer peripheral portion is within 12% in which the outer diameter cross section of the hollow fiber membrane existing in the 1/4 outer peripheral portion means an area on 1/4 outer circumference where the central angle is 90 degrees. Here, the outer circumference means the area between the inner surface of the second adhesive fixing part and a circle having its center point at the center of the inner surface of the adhesive fixing part and a radius of 3/4 of the radius of the inner surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
