Abstract:

To provide a hollow fiber membrane selection method capable of easily performing selection and detection of a leak thread of a hollow fiber membrane module having a defect part in which a content such as a coloring liquid and a fluorescent dye does not remain on the membrane even after selection, and to provide a method for manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane repairing the subsequently detected defect part.

A thread-like article is inserted into a specific hollow fiber membrane in the hollow fiber membrane module obtained by bundling a large number of hollow fiber membranes (1) and fixing both ends or one end by an adhesive (2) to distinguish it from the other plurality of hollow fiber membranes. The specific hollow fiber membrane (1) is the hollow fiber membrane having the defect part in the hollow fiber membrane module. The thread-like article is preferably constituted by a thread containing a fluorescent substance or a metal steel wire having magnetism.
