To provide a hollow molded container excellent in gas barrier properties and a shock resistance.
This hollow molded container is made from a resin composition which is composed of 60-99 wt.% of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having 20-60 mol.% of an ethylene content and at least 90% of a saponification degree, and 40-1 wt.% of an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer having 1-30 wt.% of a (meth)acrylic acid content, and which has ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer particles dispersed in a matrix of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. A polyolefin or a polyester is suitable as a thermoplastic resin which is used in this case. It is also preferable to have a layer made of an adhesive resin between a layer made of a resin composition and a layer made of a thermoplastic resin. It is more preferable that such an adhesive resin is an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a polyolefin modified with an anhydride thereof.
