Title:
HOLLOW PORTION COOLING TYPE PLURAL CORE WIRE HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2644433
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a high temperature superconductor having a plurality of care wires of a hollow portion cooling type as current carrying members.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow portion cooling type plural core wire high temperature superconductor 1 having core wires bundled in a twisted manner is used as a current carrying member, which is filled with an electrically insulating material 3, around which a sheath 4 as a mechanically protecting layer is formed, thus obtaining a superconductive cable 2. Since a hollow portion 1A as a superconductor having an inner wall rich in copper component owing to oxidization of copper of a copper pipe serving as a base body and reaction of a fused filler of a ceramic high temperature superconductive precursor sucked into the copper pipe is formed on the hollow portion cooling type plural core wire high temperature superconductor 1, the hollow portion cooling type plural core wire high temperature superconductor 1 functions as a high temperature superconductor when liquid nitrogen flows into the hollow portion 1A.
