Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow power transmission shaft capable of attaining improvement in productivity, reduction of costs and load reduction in production control.SOLUTION: A hollow power transmission shaft comprises a pair of shaft members, and an intermediate cylinder interposed between the pair of shaft members and integrally connected to the shaft members, wherein a constant velocity universal joint is connected to an end part of each shaft member. Axial lengths of the pair of shaft members are set to be identical to each other, and the pair of shaft members has a cylindrical connection part whose inner and outer diameters are identical to the inner and outer diameters of the intermediate cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
