PURPOSE: To provide a hologram recording medium excellent in chemical stability and environmental resistance, high in sensitivity, resolution and diffraction efficiency in a wide wavelength region and to provide an easy production method for hologram using this recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: This hologram recording compsn. contains a thermosetting oligomer or polymer (A) having at least two oxilane rings, a compd. (B) having at least one polymerizable ethylenic unsatd. bond, a sensitizing dye (C) for visible rays, a photopolymn. initiator (D), and a catalyst (E) for polymn. of epoxy resin. Further, the difference of refractive indices of the oligomer or polymer (A) and the compd. (B) having polymerizable ethylenic unsatd. bonds is specified to be ≥0.005.
