PURPOSE: To provide a hologram recording medium being superior in chemical stability and environmental resistance characteristics and having high sensitivity in a long wavelength region, high diffraction efficiency, high transparency and high resolution characteristics and a production method of a volume phase type hologram using the same.
CONSTITUTION: The hologram recording medium and the production method are characterized by forming a photosensitive film by interposing and holding a photosensitive material which is incorporated with a combination of a high polymer compound (A) being a single polymer of acrylic ester or methacrylic ester of a copolymer of two or more components of acrylic ester of methacrylic ester and a vinyl monomer, a compound (B) having at least one or more polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated bond, a tetrabenzoporphrine derivative (C) and a sulfonium organic boric complex (D), between an optically transparent base material and a optically transparent protective film.
