PURPOSE: To make a holotop for optical scanning and condensation of a reflected signal light small-sized to make the whole of a hologram scanner device small-sized by adhering anothr deflecting optical element to or putting it above a hologram of a peg-top hologram rotating body.
CONSTITUTION: Deflecting optical elements 23 an 24 consisting of holograms, transmission Fresnel lenses, or the like are adhered to holograms 21 and 22 provided on a holotop 20. A laser beam 27 is made incident on the hologram 21 or 22 and is deflected to become scanning light 28, and this light is reflected on a bar code or the like to become a reflected signal light 29, and this light is condensed by holograms 21 and 22 and the deflecting optical element 23 or 24 and is condensed on a photodetector 26 which is on the axis of a revolving shaft 25. Thus, the cylinder part required as a space for condensation in a conventional holotop is eliminated to make the holotop small-sized.
