PURPOSE: To offer the inexpensive, space-saving hologram head-up display which has its chromatic aberration compensated by recording a transmitting and a reflecting function, etc., repeatedly on one hologram panel and refracting display light plural times.
CONSTITUTION: The display surface of a display unit 1 is set opposite a transmission and reflection type hologram 7. The transmission and reflection type hologram 7 has both the functions of a transmission type hologram 7a and a reflection type hologram 7b. A mirror 5 is arranged on the opposite side from the display unit 1. The display light emitted by the display unit 1 is refracted by the transmitting function 7a of the hologram 7 and reflected by the mirror 5. The light is reflected by the mirror 5 and made incident on the hologram 7 again. The incident light is refracted by the reflecting function 7b of the hologram 7 to reach the view point 6 of a driver after chromatic aberration compensation.
