PURPOSE: To obtain a home telephone system able to record and reproduce talking by providing a recording and reproducing means to a key telephone master system and at least one of key telephone sets.

CONSTITUTION: A recording and reproducing means 7 is provided to a master set (a) or at least one of slave sets (b) and a line link trunk circuit using an extension H and a trunk line L applies the connection of the recording and reproducing means 7 to the extension H or the external line. Thus, the speech voice is recorded by designating a telephone set depending on the input from an external line, an output from its own telephone set or an input from a doorphone and the content recorded by other telephone set is recorded and the recording is reproduced and able to be sent to the extension H, the doorphone and the external line during talking. Thus, the entire home telephone system enjoys the recording and reproducing function.
