Abstract:
The homodyne transmission system with reflection factor modulation contains an interrogation unit (1) and at least one acknowledgement unit (2). In this system, the interrogation unit (1) contains a transmitting circuit and a circuit for receiving an acknowledgement signal, containing information items, from the acknowledgement unit (2) and the acknowledgement unit (2) contains a double-sideband reflection factor modulator for generating a subcarrier. The receiving circuit of the interrogating unit (1) exhibits two receiving channels, which are connected to one another via a power divider at the input end and are connected to a summing section at the output end and which in each contain a mixer with subsequent filter elements. In one of the receiving channels, a microwave phase shifter with 90 DEG phase shift is inserted in front of the mixer. Another 90 DEG phase shifter for the base band signal is inserted between mixer and summing section in one of the receiving channels.
