PURPOSE: To evaluate homogeneity of a sample speedily and objectively without damaging the sample.

CONSTITUTION: Vibration is applied to a sample 1 by a vibrator 2, and the vibration transmitted through the sample 1 is detected by vibration sensors 3 and 4, and homogeneity of the sample is discriminated by an oscilloscope 9 or the like according to detecting signals of the sensors. This device may have an operation means to calculate vibration transmitting time or vibration transmitting speed according to a detecting signal from a first vibration detecting means and a detecting signal from a second vibration detecting means and a discriminating means to discriminate homogeneity of the sample according to data calculated by the operation means and reference data of a standard sample.
