Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title new, nontoxic compound having a specific molecular structure, excellent in bacterial infection control effect, immunoadjuvant activity, tumor necrotic effect and macrophage-activating effect, thus useful as an immuno-activating agent, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (DMB is dimethoxybenzyl) is reacted with an allyl halide to protect the OH group(s), a reducing agent is acted in an inert solvent, and the product is condensed with a carboxylic acid using a condensation agent followed by allowing an oxidizing agent act to remove the DMB and then condensation with a carboxylic acid using a condensation agent followed by isomerization to effect deprotection. Thence, the product is made to react with an introductory agent for isopropylidene group in the presence of an acid to form a sixmembered ring followed by repeating, as the case may be, each OH group's protection, deprotection and phosphorylation, thus obtaining the objective compound of formula II [R1 and R4 are each H, of formula P(0)(OR6)2 (R6 is H, phenyl, etc.) or OH-protecting group; R2 and R3 are each 10-20C substituted aliphatic acyl of formula R7CH(OR8)CαβCO (R7 is 7-17c alkyl; R8 is 10-20C aliphatic acyl, α and β are each H or halogen); R5 is H or OH-protecting group].
