Abstract:
To provide a honeycomb structure capable of suppressing a pressure loss while maintaining shielding properties, and to provide a manufacturing method of the honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure includes: a concave entrance side edge face 12; a convex outlet side edge face 14; and a plurality of cells 20 each having a polygonal cross section serving as a flow channel of a liquid and extending from the entrance side edge face 12 to the outlet side edge face 14. The plurality of cells 20 are separated by partition walls 22. In at least part of cells from among the plurality of cells 20, an area of a cross section of the flow channel vertical to a longer direction is configured to widen from the entrance side edge face to the outlet side edge face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
